I. Product Introduction
In VOCs treatment and solvent recovery applications, activated carbon has always played a vital role. The market traditionally uses coal-based or coconut-shell columnar activated carbon for this field. In recent years, affected by factors such as raw material quality and price, activated carbon products have been significantly impacted in terms of solvent recovery efficiency and cost.
Leveraging plant-based raw materials, Nanping Yuanli Activated Carbon Co., Ltd. has developed a novel columnar activated carbon product specifically for the solvent recovery market - GRP 4080. It features a well-balanced pore-size distribution, green and recyclable raw materials, and stable quality, and has been highly recognized by the market.

III. Application Advantages
1. Rational Pore-size Distribution
The product has a total pore volume of approximately 0.9 cm³/g, a t-plot micropore volume of approximately 0.23 cm³/g, and a BJH mesopore volume of approximately 0.50 cm³/g. This pore volume and pore size distribution covers a reasonable balance of micropore and mesopore volumes. Therefore, it delivers excellent adsorption capacity whether for low-molecular-weight organics (dichloromethane, acetone, carbon disulfide, etc.) or high-molecular-weight organics (toluene, xylene, solvent naphtha, etc.).

2. High Adsorption Working Capacity
In solvent recovery applications, working capacity refers to the total amount that can be repeatedly adsorbed and desorbed. High adsorption capacity is of great significance for reducing the number of desorption cycles, lowering regeneration energy consumption, and improving solvent recovery efficiency.
When the carbon tetrachloride adsorption value of this product series reaches 80%, the Butane Working Capacity (BWC) can reach approximately 9.5 g/dL, while the proportion of pore size range suitable for both organic solvent adsorption and desorption is relatively high. In an existing toluene recovery case, the steam consumption for steam recovery can be stably maintained below 2.3 kg steam per 1 kg toluene.
3. High Purity and Safety
This product has very low ash content, with an average tested value of approximately 3.5%, offering high purity. The potassium and sodium contents are as low as below 500 ppm. This greatly reduces catalytic side reactions caused by activated carbon impurities during the adsorption process, reduces heat release, and prevents production safety accidents. Meanwhile, the recovered solvent contains fewer impurities and features higher quality.
